About Product Feeds

These allow you to display full product details- their images prices and product details just like on the merchants own shopping site . There are a number of ways of inmplementing depending on what you want to achieve

Login into you POR affiliate account - click view feeds from the left hand menu and scroll to the bottom of the page and click the option to create a custom feed

You can then use the wizard - just select which of your joined merchants you want to include , enter a product name to search for and a layout - the wizard creates a content unit - just a few lines of code that you can cut (ctrl-c keys) and paste (ctrl-v keys) in HTML mode into your own website - don't forget to save - that's it

Choose products that are relevant /complimentary to your site - choose products you can cross sell eg: to promote your stationary supplies business you could choose to display for example printers like this : (this may require you to join some more merchants that provide feeds for these products)

TIPS : There are some ready made content feed templates - the 2 column one may not fit your site width - the 1 column (the one we used) will almost definitely , we placed our product feed above using a table to position it on the right of our content - the table has a yellow background , to do this on your site amend this code :

Make sure you first insert the code for your produt feed where it says <POR SCRIPT CODE INSERTED HERE>

simply enter HTML mode and insert the following code fragment where you want the top of the table box to go

You can change the colour and alignment can be on the left of the screen if you like
